Design Approach
This renovation was guided by a deep respect for the home’s heritage bones while introducing a modern sensibility tailored to family life. We retained the elegance of traditional proportions and detailing, layering them with a contemporary palette of rich blue cabinetry, brass accents, and natural stone. Each space is designed to flow seamlessly, balancing character with comfort.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen acts as the heart of the home, combining crafted joinery with generous storage and timeless finishes. A soft checkerboard floor defines the breakfast nook, framing a bright corner that invites slow mornings and family gatherings. The adjoining dining area celebrates natural light and garden views, softened by sheer drapery and anchored by a custom blackened timber table.
Living Spaces
In the living room, tactile materials set the tone — a striking green marble fireplace, mid-century inspired seating, and a palette of warm timber and soft textures. Thoughtful detailing and curated furniture pieces create an atmosphere that is both refined and inviting, encouraging moments of retreat as much as convivial gatherings.
Heritage & Modernity
