Although this may not seem like a big deal to some people, it is an important question to discuss as it will determine the attention that your project gets as well the time it will take to complete.

Three reasons why this is a good question to ask are:
01

Specialisation is a useful factor when it comes to design. Some team members may
specialise in different areas of the design process to others and this will give you a better designed end product. Working with one designer means you will need to take their weaknesses with their strengths. Working with a team means where one is weak the other can fill in the gaps.

02

Time is a crucial resource when it comes to renovation. Having a team of people working together on your project will mean things get done at a faster pace. The sooner the design process is finished, the sooner your project can be started and finished. Relying on one person to do everything may drag the project out for weeks or months longer than necessary.

03

When you have multiple designers adding to the idea pool you will end up with a wider variety of design options to choose from. You will also have more people to brainstorm with about different ways to achieve the result you are looking for. Working with a team will give you a variety of ideas and this can often assist in the decision making process.

“Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful.” – Dieter Rams
